# Sleipner 3D > A library of studio-quality 3D models by Sleipner (view in 3D in the browser, download as GLB, glTF, FBX, USDZ, Blend or OBJ at several detail levels), and a generator that makes new models from a description or changes existing ones. Browse and search the library for free; downloads need a free account. Signed-in users can also > generate new models from a description or change existing ones ("make it red"), paid in credits. Everything is > available to AI agents through an MCP server at https://3d.sleipner.ai/mcp (OAuth sign-in). Models are made by Sleipner. Library models are free to use in anything, personal or commercial (games and jam entries included), under the Sleipner Free Library Licence (https://3d.sleipner.ai/legal/licence): change them freely, no fee, no credit needed. Three rules: don't resell or re-share them as models (on their own or in an asset pack, library or bundle), don't claim you made them, and don't train AI on them. Models a user generates are that user's own. ## Use it from an agent - [MCP server](https://3d.sleipner.ai/mcp): Streamable HTTP, OAuth 2.1 with PKCE, dynamic client registration and client ID metadata documents. Discovery: https://3d.sleipner.ai/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/mcp. Server card: https://3d.sleipner.ai/.well-known/mcp/server-card.json. - [How to connect](https://3d.sleipner.ai/connect): any MCP client; add a remote server with the URL above and sign in through OAuth, or send a personal API key as `Authorization: Bearer slp_...`. Copy-paste setup for ChatGPT, Claude (web, desktop, mobile), Claude Code (`claude mcp add --transport http sleipner https://3d.sleipner.ai/mcp`, then `/mcp` to sign in), Cursor (`~/.cursor/mcp.json`), VS Code (Copilot agent mode), Windsurf (Devin Desktop) and stdio-only clients (through `npx mcp-remote https://3d.sleipner.ai/mcp`) is on the page. - Tools: `search_library`, `get_library_model`, `get_download_link`, `get_credits`, `list_capabilities`, `create_object`, `change_object`, `get_object`, `list_my_objects`, `cancel_object`. Read-only tools are free; `create_object` and `change_object` spend the user's credits, so confirm the price with the user first and pass a `request_id`. - Generation prices: Quick 200 credits (launch price until 2026-12-31, list price 350) (one version, the fastest build); Standard 600 credits (launch price until 2026-12-31, list price 1,000) (three versions; the best one is picked for you); Accurate 5,000 credits (from your product photos and measurements: three models, the one closest to the photos, at true size). A change that only touches the surface (a new colour, material or wear; the shape stays) costs 50 credits on either tier. When a quick check says the change only touches the surface, 50 is taken at submit and the rest of the tier's price only if the shape has to be rebuilt after all; otherwise the tier's price is taken and the rest comes back when it finishes. New accounts get free credits; more are sold in packs ([pricing](https://3d.sleipner.ai/pricing)). - [Capabilities](https://3d.sleipner.ai/api/capabilities): what V1 makes, may get wrong and can't do yet (also the `list_capabilities` tool and [the full list](https://3d.sleipner.ai/v1#capabilities)). Every create and change is checked first, nothing charged: `status` `supported` goes ahead; `uncertain` (large buildings, text and logos, exact fits) needs `accept_uncertain: true` once the user accepts; `not_yet` (scenes, landscapes, realistic trees, animation, effects) returns `reason`, `suggestion`, `roadmap` and a `notify_url` the user can open to hear when it's ready ("Keep me updated": only the user can opt in), and `make_anyway: true` tries it regardless. `proceed_with` names the flag; `can_override: false` on uncertain means use `proceed_with` (`accept_uncertain`), not that it can't go ahead. - [HTTP API](https://3d.sleipner.ai/developers): the same actions with a personal API key (`Authorization: Bearer slp_...`): make, change, follow, download and cancel objects, and read the balance. Keys spend credits but can't buy them. [Full reference](https://3d.sleipner.ai/developers/api): every endpoint, field, error code and rate limit, with curl, JavaScript and Python examples. ## Help - [Getting started](https://3d.sleipner.ai/start): sign up with an email code, the free credits, Quick against Standard, changes, downloads and formats, the free library and packs. - [FAQ](https://3d.sleipner.ai/faq): pricing and credits, the licence, formats, quality ("is it AI?"), refunds, privacy, what V1 can't do yet and "Keep me updated", reference images and community sharing, the open beta. - [Support](https://3d.sleipner.ai/support): hello@sleipner.ai; how to report a bad model (the object or library link, what is wrong, a screenshot, the format, detail level and app; for the API the object_id, request_id and the answer, never the key). - [What's in V1](https://3d.sleipner.ai/v1): single objects; no scenes, rooms, realistic trees or animated characters yet. ## Library - [All models](https://3d.sleipner.ai/library): search, categories, formats, detail levels. - [Catalog as JSON](https://3d.sleipner.ai/library.json): every model with sizes, formats, levels, renders and page URLs. - [Full catalog as text](https://3d.sleipner.ai/llms-full.txt) - [Draft horse](https://3d.sleipner.ai/library/draft-horse): A chestnut draft horse with a pale mane, rigged and animated.
