Sleipner3D, homeV1 · Open beta: what’s in it

Getting started

From a sentence to a finished model.

A free library of studio-quality 3D models, and a studio that makes new ones from a description. Open beta: what’s in V1.

Sign up with your email

  1. No password

Enter your email on the sign-in page. We send a 6-digit code that works for 10 minutes. The first sign-in creates your account; there is no card and no password.

  2. 600 free credits

Every new account gets 600 credits, enough for 3 Quick objects. Your balance and every charge and refund are under Credits, one click from Your models. Credits never expire. Pricing

  3. Your models

Your models holds the objects you made, the library models you saved and your credits. Download defaults and API keys are under Settings.

02 · The free library

Free models and packs

  1. Browse and search

The library is open to everyone: search, filter by category, format or animation, and turn each model in 3D with its studio renders. Press / to search.

  2. Packs

Packs are sets of models in one style and at true scale that look right together. Download a whole pack as one zip per format.

  3. Download for free

Signed in, every library download is free and never uses credits. Use them in personal and commercial work; just don’t resell the model files on their own. Licence

03 · Make an object

Quick or Standard

On Make, describe one object in a sentence or two (3 to 600 characters): what it is, what it is made of, its style. “A 1950s gas range in cream enamel with chrome knobs” works better than “an oven”.

  1. One object at a time

V1 makes single objects: furniture, props, products, vehicles, tools, food, decor, plants. Every new object and every change is checked against what V1 makes before anything is charged. Supported goes ahead. Uncertain (large buildings, 3D text and logos, parts that must fit exactly): we say what tends to go wrong, and "Make it anyway" makes it at the usual price. Not yet (scenes, rooms, landscapes, realistic trees, animation, fire and effects): we suggest single objects to make instead, and "Try anyway" makes it regardless. Requests against our terms are refused. A request the check stops costs nothing. What’s in V1

On a "not yet" answer, "Keep me updated" asks us to email you when that capability is ready in Sleipner 3D, only about that, with a one-click unsubscribe. Nothing is ticked for you, and you can change the list any time. My updates

  2. Add a picture (optional)

Add up to 4 pictures to a new object, or 1 to a change (JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 20 MB each). They guide the style, materials, colours and details; your description decides what the object is ("an armchair in this fabric" is an armchair, whatever the picture shows), and "like this one" copies the pictured shape too. On a change, the picture is a material, colour or finish to copy. We check pictures before anything is charged; they stay private to you, and models made from them can't be shared with the community. Only upload images you have the right to use.

  3. Share it for less (optional)

Yes. Tick "Share with the community" when you make an object and it costs less: 180 credits instead of 200 for Quick, 500 credits instead of 600 for Standard. Shared models are checked for quality, safety and rights, and the accepted ones are published in the library's community section under the free library licence, with your name if you want it. In the beginning, review can take 1–5 days before a shared model is published. Models made from photos or from your own reference images, and changes of them, can't be shared. The community

  4. Watch it build

The object’s page shows each step as it runs. You can close it and come back; the object is in Your models. Cancel any time before it is ready and the credits come back. If it fails, they come back by themselves. You can have 2 objects in the works at once.

04 · Change it

Edits that keep the shape

  1. Change it

“Change it” is on every object you made and on every library model. Describe one change: “make it dark green”, “brushed steel”, “old and worn”. You get a new object; the original stays as it was.

  2. What it costs

A new colour, material or wear repaints the surface and keeps the shape exactly: 50 credits in the end. Sometimes the Quick or Standard price is taken at the start and the rest comes back when it finishes. A change to the shape or the style makes a new version at the Quick or Standard price.

05 · Download

Formats and detail levels

FormatUse it for
GLBOne file. The web, three.js, Godot, and most engines and viewers.
glTFglTF with separate textures, zipped.
FBXUnity, Unreal, Maya, 3ds Max, Cinema 4D.
USDZApple AR Quick Look, Reality Composer, Omniverse.
BlendA Blender scene with the textures packed.
OBJMesh, materials and textures, zipped. No rig or animation.

Every model is at its real size, in metres, with PBR textures. Detail levels: standard is the hero model, balanced for real time; low has fewer triangles, for games, mobile and crowds; some library models also have high. Set your favourite format and level once in Settings and every download button uses them.
