Pricing and credits
What does it cost?
The library is free. Making an object costs credits: Quick 200 (about $2 / €2.40 / 26 kr), Standard 600 (about $6 / €7.20 / 77 kr): launch prices until 31 Dec, then 350 and 1,000. A change that only touches the surface (a new colour, material or wear) costs 50. One credit is about one US cent. Agents and the API pay the same prices as the site.
Is there a free trial?
Every new account gets 600 free credits, enough for 3 Quick objects. No card needed: you sign in with your email.
How do I get more credits?
Buying credits opens soon; the packs and their prices are on the pricing page. Need more credits before then? Write to [email protected] and tell us what you are making.
Do credits expire?
No. Free and bought credits stay in your account until you use them.
What if an object fails, or I cancel it?
Its credits come back to your balance automatically. You can see every charge and refund under Credits, one click from Your models.
How are changes charged?
A change makes a new object and keeps the original. If it only touches the surface (colour, material or wear), it costs 50 credits in the end. Sometimes the full Quick or Standard price is taken when it starts, and everything above 50 comes back when it finishes. A change to the shape or the style costs the Quick or Standard price.
Licence: what you may do
Can I use library models in commercial work?
Yes. Use library and pack models in anything, personal or commercial: games, apps, films, renders, ads, shops, client work and game-jam entries, changed or not. No fee, and you don't have to credit us. Three rules: don't resell or re-share the models as models (on their own, in asset packs, on marketplaces or free-model sites), don't claim you made them, and don't use them to train AI.
Who owns the objects I make?
You do, fully, as far as the law and our AI providers allow: we claim no rights in them and transfer to you any we have. Use them commercially, sell or resell them, and license them, for example to a publisher or a game jam's organiser. We keep only what we need to run the service, and a licence to publish an object if you choose to share it with the community. A changed copy of a library model stays under the library licence. The law on AI output is still unsettled: in many countries it may not be protected by copyright, and someone else may make a similar object. The terms are a draft under legal review.
Formats and files
Which formats do I get?
GLB, glTF (zipped, separate textures), FBX, USDZ, Blend (Blender, textures packed) and OBJ (zipped; no rig or animation). Library models come in up to three detail levels (high, standard, low); objects you make come in standard and low. Everything is at its real size, in metres.
Which format should I pick?
GLB for the web, three.js, Godot and most engines; FBX for Unity, Unreal, Maya, 3ds Max and Cinema 4D; USDZ for Apple AR Quick Look and Reality Composer; Blend to keep working in Blender; OBJ when nothing else is read. Low detail is for games, mobile and crowds.
Can I 3D print it?
3D printing: no STL or 3MF yet. Export OBJ and check it in your slicer.
Do I need an account to download?
Browsing, searching and viewing in 3D are open to everyone. Downloads need a free account, so we can count them. A pack downloads as one zip per format.
Quality: is it AI?
Is it made by AI?
Yes, and we say so. Sleipner runs a 3D studio in which each role is an AI model: a language model reads the brief and sets the real size, an image model draws the concept, image-to-3D models build the mesh, our pipeline cleans it into a real-time model with UVs and PBR textures, and Blender renders it in a studio. Library models are made the same way, then picked and checked by us before they are published.
What is the judge?
A vision model that plays the art director. Standard builds three versions and the judge compares them with the concept and picks the best one. We tested it on models with known faults before using it.
Will every model be perfect?
No. AI output can have mistakes: a wrong detail, a soft texture, a part that should move but doesn't. Look at the renders before you use a model. If one is clearly broken, tell us with the link (see Support).
What can't Sleipner 3D make yet?
V1 makes single objects: furniture, props, products, vehicles, food, stylised trees, potted plants and small buildings. Rooms and scenes, landscapes and forests, realistic trees, rigged or animated characters, and fire, smoke or water effects are not in V1 yet. Large buildings, 3D text and logos, and parts that must fit to the millimetre work, but results vary. We check every request before anything is charged and tell you what to expect, with things we can make instead. For the things that aren't ready, press "Keep me updated" and we'll email you once when they are. The full list is at /v1.
Refunds
Can I get a refund?
Failed and cancelled objects are refunded in credits automatically. For bought credits: within 14 days of buying a pack you can withdraw from the purchase and get a refund of the credits you haven't used; use "Withdraw from this purchase" in your credits history, or write to [email protected]. Credits already spent aren't refunded, because the work was done.
Privacy and data
Who can see what I make?
Only you, unless you share. Objects you make are private to your account. Only an object you choose to share with the community is published, after review, and you can stop sharing it at any time.
Where does my data go?
Your files are stored in the EU. To make an object we send your description (and photos, if you give any) to the AI providers that build it. Analytics cookies are only set if you choose Accept. We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.
How do I delete my account or get my data?
Write to [email protected] from the address you sign in with. We delete or export it for you; a button in Settings is coming.
Sharing, pictures and what V1 can't do yet
What happens when V1 can't make what I ask for?
Every new object and every change is checked against what V1 makes before anything is charged. Supported goes ahead. Uncertain (large buildings, 3D text and logos, parts that must fit exactly): we say what tends to go wrong, and "Make it anyway" makes it at the usual price. Not yet (scenes, rooms, landscapes, realistic trees, animation, fire and effects): we suggest single objects to make instead, and "Try anyway" makes it regardless. Requests against our terms are refused. A request the check stops costs nothing.
Can you tell me when V1 can do it?
On a "not yet" answer, "Keep me updated" asks us to email you when that capability is ready in Sleipner 3D, only about that, with a one-click unsubscribe. Nothing is ticked for you, and you can change the list any time.
Can I add a picture of what I want?
Add up to 4 pictures to a new object, or 1 to a change (JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 20 MB each). They guide the style, materials, colours and details; your description decides what the object is ("an armchair in this fabric" is an armchair, whatever the picture shows), and "like this one" copies the pictured shape too. On a change, the picture is a material, colour or finish to copy. We check pictures before anything is charged; they stay private to you, and models made from them can't be shared with the community. Only upload images you have the right to use.
Can I share what I make?
Yes. Tick "Share with the community" when you make an object and it costs less: 180 credits instead of 200 for Quick, 500 credits instead of 600 for Standard. Shared models are checked for quality, safety and rights, and the accepted ones are published in the library's community section under the free library licence, with your name if you want it. In the beginning, review can take 1–5 days before a shared model is published. Models made from photos or from your own reference images, and changes of them, can't be shared.
Can I stop sharing a model?
Yes, any time, on the object's page. It can't be undone: the model leaves the community and that object can't be shared again, the lower price stays, and it counts like a share that wasn't accepted (several of those pause sharing on your account for a while). In the beginning, review can take 1–5 days before a shared model is published.
The open beta
What does open beta mean?
Everything on the site works and is open to everyone, and we are still improving it every week. V1 focuses on single, finished objects. Prices can change for the future, but a change never takes away credits you already have.
Can I use it from an AI agent or a script?
Yes. Any MCP client (an AI assistant, an IDE agent) can search the library and make objects through our MCP server, with an OAuth sign-in; scripts use the HTTP API with a key. Same credits, same prices.
Is there an uptime guarantee?
Not during the beta. We monitor the site around the clock. If making objects is paused (for example under heavy load), the site and the API say so, and nothing is charged.
