Sleipner3D, homeV1 · Open beta: what’s in it

Connect your AI

Use Sleipner 3D from any AI assistant or agent that speaks MCP: find and download library models, and make or change objects with your credits, all in the conversation.

Any MCP client

Add a remote MCP server with this address:

https://3d.sleipner.ai/mcp
  • Transport: Streamable HTTP.
  • Sign-in: OAuth. Your app opens Sleipner’s sign-in; you enter your email code and allow access once. Clients that send headers can use an API key instead: Authorization: Bearer slp_...
  • The steps below were checked against each client’s own docs on 31 Oct 2026. Menus move; if one doesn’t match, tell us.
  • Agents can also find it on their own through llms.txt.

ChatGPT

  1. Open chatgpt.com/plugins, choose +, then Add custom MCP server.
  2. Name it Sleipner 3D, paste the address and choose OAuth for authentication.
  3. Confirm the warning and choose Create as a plugin, then install it.
  4. In a new chat, type @, pick Sleipner 3D, sign in with your email code and allow access.

Custom MCP servers depend on your plan and workspace settings. Older ChatGPT builds have the same form under Settings → Apps → Advanced settings → Developer mode → Create app.

Claude (web, desktop, mobile)

  1. Open Customize → Connectors, choose + Add, then Add custom connector.
  2. Name it Sleipner 3D and paste the address.
  3. Choose to sign in now, add it, then sign in with your email code and allow access.

A connector added on the web also works in Claude Desktop and on mobile. On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner adds it once under Organization settings → Connectors → Add → Custom → Web, and members choose Connect. The Free plan allows one custom connector.

Claude Code

Shell
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user sleipner https://3d.sleipner.ai/mcp

Then run /mcp in Claude Code, pick sleipner and sign in in the browser. Leave out --scope user to add it to this project only. With an API key instead:

Shell
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user sleipner https://3d.sleipner.ai/mcp \
  --header "Authorization: Bearer $SLEIPNER_API_KEY"

Cursor

Add it to ~/.cursor/mcp.json (every project) or .cursor/mcp.json (one project):

JSON
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "sleipner": { "url": "https://3d.sleipner.ai/mcp" }
  }
}

Then open Customize in the sidebar, turn sleipner on and sign in. With a key, add "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer slp_..." } next to the url and keep the file out of git.

VS Code (Copilot agent mode)

  1. Run MCP: Add Server from the command palette and choose HTTP.
  2. Paste the address, name it sleipner and choose Global.
  3. Sign in when VS Code asks, then pick Agent in the Chat view.

Or put it in mcp.json yourself. With a key, VS Code asks for it once and stores it securely:

JSON
{
  "inputs": [
    { "type": "promptString", "id": "sleipner-key", "description": "Sleipner API key", "password": true }
  ],
  "servers": {
    "sleipner": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://3d.sleipner.ai/mcp",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer ${input:sleipner-key}" }
    }
  }
}

Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

Windsurf is now Devin Desktop. Add it to ~/.config/devin/mcp_config.json (Windows: %APPDATA%\devin\mcp_config.json):

JSON
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "sleipner": { "url": "https://3d.sleipner.ai/mcp" }
  }
}

Then open Customize → MCPs and choose Authenticate. Builds from before the rename read ~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json and call the address serverUrl instead of url. A key goes in "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer slp_..." }.

Other clients

Any client that takes a remote (Streamable HTTP) server: give it the address and let it sign in with OAuth, or send Authorization: Bearer slp_.... A client that only runs local (stdio) servers can reach it through the community bridge mcp-remote:

JSON
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "sleipner": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": ["-y", "mcp-remote", "https://3d.sleipner.ai/mcp"]
    }
  }
}

It opens the sign-in in your browser on first use. Needs Node.js.

Credits

Searching and downloading are free.

Making or changing an object spends credits: Quick 200 credits (launch price until 31 Dec, list price 350), Standard 600 credits (launch price until 31 Dec, list price 1,000), Accurate 5,000 credits. A change that only touches the surface (a new colour, material or wear) costs 50: when a quick check agrees, only that is taken, and the rest of the Quick or Standard price only if the shape has to be rebuilt after all; otherwise the Quick or Standard price is taken and the rest comes back when it finishes. The assistant is told to say the price and ask first. Failed or cancelled objects are refunded.

Every request is checked against what V1 makes first, at no charge. For something uncertain or not yet possible the assistant tells you why and what to make instead, and goes ahead only if you say so. It can give you a link to be told when V1 can do it, but only you can opt in. Reference images: Only upload images you have the right to use. Shared models cost less and are reviewed first. In the beginning, review can take 1–5 days before a shared model is published.
